// ABOUT THE SERVICE

Restore your tattoo's original vibrancy with professional touch-up work at American Tattoo Company in Spring, TX.

Tattoos fade. Sun exposure, skin type, and time all take their toll on ink. What looked sharp five years ago might look washed out today. A touch-up brings back the contrast and detail your tattoo had when it was fresh. Our artists at 25915 Interstate 45 North assess your existing work and restore it to its original quality.

Touch-ups aren't the same as new tattoos. The skin already holds ink, so the process focuses on filling gaps, darkening lines, and adding color where it's faded. Most touch-ups take less time than the original session. We evaluate your tattoo during a consultation and give you a realistic timeline and cost estimate.

Bring in your tattoo at least six months after the original work healed. Earlier than that, the ink hasn't settled. If you got your tattoo somewhere else, no problem. We work on pieces from other shops all the time. Bring a photo of what it looked like fresh if you have one. That helps us match the original artist's intent.

Touch-up pricing depends on size and complexity. Small pieces might need 30 minutes. Full sleeves could take multiple sessions. We quote after seeing the work in person. Call (281) 419-8080 to schedule a consultation. Our artists will walk you through what's possible and what the process looks like for your specific tattoo.

Proper aftercare keeps tattoos looking good longer. Sunscreen protects against UV damage. Moisturizer prevents drying and cracking. Even with perfect care, most tattoos benefit from a touch-up every few years. Black and gray work holds up better than bright colors, but everything fades eventually.

American Tattoo Company has been restoring ink in North Houston since 2008. Our artists know how to match existing styles and bring old work back to life. Book a consultation and see what your tattoo can look like with fresh ink.

// QUESTIONS

Touch-Ups — FAQ

How long should I wait before getting a touch-up?

Wait at least six months after your tattoo fully heals. This gives the ink time to settle into your skin. If you touch up too early, you might damage the original work or cause uneven healing.

Can you touch up a tattoo done at another shop?

Yes. We work on tattoos from other artists and shops regularly. Bring in your piece and we'll assess what it needs. A photo of the original fresh tattoo helps us match the style and color.

How much does a touch-up cost?

Pricing depends on the size and condition of your tattoo. Small touch-ups start lower than large pieces that need extensive work. We provide quotes after seeing your tattoo in person during a consultation.

Will a touch-up hurt as much as the original tattoo?

Touch-ups usually hurt less because we're working over already-inked skin. The process is faster and covers less area. Pain tolerance varies, but most clients find touch-ups easier than the first session.
